TAKE ACTION - Your voice can change the law. Write, call or show up — here's how to make it count.

Laws don’t change on their own. Here’s what you can do today.

1. Write to your MPP and mayor

Your Member of Provincial Parliament and your mayor need to hear from families, not just lobbyists. Write them a letter — your personal story is the most powerful thing you can include. Tell them you support reform of Ontario’s Mental Health Act, including a separate section for schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar psychosis, and ask where they stand.

2. Talk about anosognosia

Most people — including many doctors — have never heard of it. Share our Understanding Anosognosia page with someone who needs to read it.
